GETTING OUT OF THE MONKEY MIND
Hi Everyone. What was your joy level this past week? How about your energy level? It was a week of sleeping more than I normally do because for some reason I felt the urge to do so. It was a week of doing what I felt like doing and then just being. Since I work with energy healing at times I thought to myself why didn’t I use the rev up your energy technique which I usually recommend to my clients. Believe it or not, it did not occur to me. Guess I needed to just have the time off from taking any action (later in post will give you the technique). It was such a joy to do nothing except some minor things. Do you know what I did most, go within and talked to the Divine within me. What a treat!!!! Found out that my leap was not ready to be taken yet, oh well, maybe next time. It is on its way though and I can feel the energy building.
So, now that I told you about me, what about you? How many of you took the time to just be in the moment? Did you sit and watch the sunset or did you smile at everyone who passed you by? What exactly did you do? I hope you shed the ‘monkey mind’ for a short time. And for those who don’t know what the ‘monkey mind’ is – it is following the crowd, keeping that old conditioning and those old patterns going in your life. It is running around without noticing any of the beauty of your life. It is failing to hear the birds chirping or the sounds of the earth. Getting the picture, are you? Did you feel the Divine Grace within and without? Be honest!!! Are you still bound to the world, looking for the luxuries and going for that money line? Why not step back and take a breath and see how crazy life is. Notice what is being broadcast daily. Is there fulfillment in your life? Why isn’t there? Are you so distracted by the media junk that you have no recognition of your own truth, your own happiness? Who makes you happy? I hope you honestly can say it is your own being that does so. How many think others need to make you happy? Are you kidding me? I have gotten into debates about this for years. NO ONE has the responsibility to make anyone happy. It comes from within. You did know that, didn’t you? So what are you going to do about it? The more you run after the money trail, the more incomplete your life is, the more you are giving into the ‘monkey mind’. Doing what brings you joy is the best thing you can do. Yet, very few of you can do this, due to the way the world is structured. So, how can you take a leap into something you find that truly brings you that joy and get off the worldly trap? What will bring that happiness to you?
How about making a list of things that you wish, things that you intend, and things that you need? Yes, make a list. Three things that you wish and what you wish is about things that you know you may not ever have. Next, list three things that you intend (I dropped the want…because that means lacking and you will never get them…so I say intend)/ This means you will act upon these ideas and intentions and eventually actualize them. The last three are your needs. You all need food/shelter, money, love, security etc. These are things everyone needs. Now take a look at what you wrote. If you wish for a million dollars then I doubt you will get it unless you truly need it to pay off that much debt or you have an involved project that will take that kind of money in order to bring it about. What intentions do you have? You intend to go back to school and get another degree or you intend to buy a house and start a family. You intend to travel and minister to individuals. You name it and intend it and then act upon it. Intentions have actions behind them otherwise they are just wishes. So really take a look to see if you are confusing yourself with these things and making yourself unhappy because nothing is happening. Separate the three lists out and really think about your life and bringing that joy back to yourself. Another example if you are a male and you wish to play baseball in the big leagues. Is that really your intention… probably not… just a wish and it has nothing to do with your happiness. So the next time you find yourself in an unhappy place think of looking closely at how your life is.
Before I sign off, here is that technique for bringing you some energy. Sit or lie down and take three deep breaths and on the third breath see yourself being filled with the color red. This is a great energy booster. See the color red flowing through you, your body fully immersed in it. Allow it to stay with you for as long as you need to. You will know when it has completed the effect. As you breathe in and you are fully comfortable with the energy, allow it to dissipate and let it go. You are now fully energized. Enjoy the feeling dear ones.
Have a wonderful week because Mercury retrograde is coming to a close on the 26th of August. It will still be in stationary direct for a couple of days and finally released on September 9.
